If we can’t get Americans to give up our cars, then one approach is to make cars that are more energy efficient and non-polluting. Electric vehicles offer great promise, but one stumbling block is battery technology and the lack of driving range before recharging. By setting up battery swap stations (think gas station, but without leaving your car) one company, called Better Place, has come up with a solution to that challenge.
