Case Studies << GO BACKSt. Helena Hospital Foundation Annual Report Client Profile: St. Helena Hospital Foundation raises funds and awareness in support of the mission of St. Helena Hospital. Problem: One of the most successful foundations of its kind, St. Helena Hospital Foundation raises some $14 million in support of Hospital facilities and programs. In 2007, the Foundation was instrumental in securing the funds needed for an historic $28 million capital campaign to reshape the Hospital campus. As the responsibilities of the Foundation have grown, so has the required Annual Report. At 24 pages, the Foundation’s Annual Report has evolved into a major publication and a major challenge for a team with many ongoing fundraising projects. The Foundation wanted the 2007 Annual Report be exceptional—to appropriately thank donors and to reflect their generosity and commitment. Solution: St. Helena Hospital Foundation decided to partner with NewLevel Group to create an Annual Report that would communicate the extraordinary year of giving that had taken place in 2007. NewLevel Group worked with the Foundation to create a theme, content outline and design. From there, NewLevel Group managed the Annual Report project, starting with a detailed timeline for completion, and including copywriting, photo selection, layout and printing. The theme selected by the Foundation, “Groundbreaking Philanthropy,” was woven throughout the copy, images, and descriptions of the year’s activities. Results: The 2007 St. Helena Hospital Annual Report was completed earlier than in prior years, with a consistent message throughout the many articles. Partnering with NewLevel Group reduced the amount of Foundation staff time taken to complete the project, and made for a more seamless publication. What the Client Said: “Partnering with NewLevel Group made creating our Annual Report easier for our team, and the feedback we’ve gotten on the publication has been fantastic.” |
